Businessman, founded lighting fixture company in Chicago and lost
eveything in the depression. Bought the family's first cottage in
Waupaca in 1924. It was on Columbia Lake, now the site of Jack and
Ginny Whitney. In 1943, sold that and bought the "Farm" next door,
passed to his four daughters, and now owned by his granddaughter Margo
Holsteen. Heather James reported his birth year as 1882, and his
death may have been in 1946.
